In-house hairdresser will visit your room by appointment. Appointments are mostly “after hours” to suit guests who use the days for travelling. Please contact reception to make an appointment between 17h00 and 21h00.

Head South has a chef that provides dinners on request. There is a daily menu that guests are asked to choose from early in the day. Fresh produce is then purchased on the day and the selected dinner is served at the time requested by the guest. Speciality braais/barbeques are provided on request. These are only done for a minimum of 8 persons.

Sea food is a speciality of Head South dinners and braais.

Options available to guests for theses tours are:

• Open bus (only for city tour and Hout Bay)
• Use of a touring company that takes approximately 8 pax
• Own transport (car rentals done at Head South)
• Private driver

When using your own transport for any of these tours, Jeff (the owner) will provide you with good advice and even a map so as to direct you for the best experience.

Besides many other touring options around South Africa, Jeff also advises on a Garden Route tour. Head South will make the necessary bookings for guests when doing the Garden route.

We facilitate cosmetic and other medical procedures that may be required.

Plastic and dental surgery, for cosmetic and other reasons, has proven extremely popular in South Africa. Our medical practitioners and associated facilities are regarded internationally as “of the best”. The value of such goes beyond financial savings. Head South provides accommodation for convalescing patients, and doctors will visit their patients in our rooms. Head South will also provide transport to such guests for their entire stay. This includes private tours.

Finance for said surgery is also available through a local (Cape Town) enterprise. Between 1st April and 1st September, Head South offers special packages for guests that choose to undergo such types of medical surgery.
